Food and Farming for REALWednesday 04 July 2007 Hill farming communities play a vital role in many areas of our lives, literally providing access to everything from food to fresh air. The Food and Farming for REAL showcase aims to provide a practical demonstration of this. It is organised by farmers and small businesses and organisations involved in rural produce and pursuits. The showcase will be launched at the Kilnsey Show on 28th August and is seeking funding to be rolled out through a programme to visit schools and colleges as well as key rural shows.
The aim is to demonstrate all the positive contributions which hill farming communities make to modern life. It will cover everything from food stalls to cookery demonstrations, rural art and craft stands and a chance to meet the workers through a show of farm animals and activities. We will be taking an active roll in the project and would welcome your views or be delighted to meet you on the day.
